Leadership within the National Democratic Congress (NDC) of Atiwa East vehemently supports their constituency chairman Ernest Owusu Ntim by dismissing what they call groundless attacks against his integrity as DCE selection lobbying intensifies.
The Constituency Executive Committee of Anyinam held a media session on Friday, April 11, to address supposed political attempts attempting to tarnish the reputation of Mr. Ntim, who leads the DCE nomination poll.
The constituency youth organiser, William Addo Kyei, stated that the attacks originate from a few displeased individuals who feel threatened because of Mr. Ntim’s wide supporter base. These critics emerged after their campaign season to make baseless accusations even though they were absent throughout the campaign period.
To that effect, the executives requested that the NDC national leadership dismiss all attempts to hinder Mr. Ntim’s nomination as the candidate. The party executives maintain that Mr. Ntim possesses remarkable party loyalty while leading the expansion of NDC support throughout the constituency.
Mr. Ntim stayed loyal to the organization since its early days. According to Kyei, the NDC leader has sacrificed his time alongside resources to support the party, so he should receive recognition instead of criticism.

The committee highlighted three major ways through which the chairman supported the party by funding election campaigns and supplying materials as well as establishing school furniture projects and borehole systems for deprived communities.
The committee rejected arguments against their candidate by pointing out that his experience along with his connections to local communities were more valuable qualifications.
The experience from losing an election does not guarantee better suitability than the dedicated service of someone who spent over ten years in party leadership and obtained a Master’s degree. Mr. The members at the meeting declared their support for Owusu Ntim because he represents a tested and trusted candidate.
The political atmosphere remains tense because President John Mahama plans to reveal his choices for the metropolitan, municipal, and district chief executive positions throughout the nation in upcoming weeks.
And to that effect, the leaders of Atiwa East NDC have announced their support for their chairman as the best candidate to be the new DCE.
