There is an official confirmation from the government of Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang, the vice president of Ghana, on her current health condition.
According to the report, Her Excellency Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang was admitted to the University of Ghana Health Center on Saturday, March 29, 2025, following a sudden illness.

The news went viral on social media, with a lot of Ghanaians wishing the VP a speedy recovery. Still, there has been an official statement from the office of the president confirming the illness of Ghana’s vice president, which occurred after work on Friday, 28th March.
After initial treatment, medical experts have advised that Vice-President Opoku-Agyemang, who is aged 73, travel abroad for further care. The government has not disclosed details of her condition but assures the public that the situation is being managed with the utmost priority.
In a signed statement, Felix Kwakye Ofosu (MP), spokesman to the president and Minister for Government Communications, extended best wishes to the vice-president on behalf of the government in the hope that Professor Opoku-Agyemang makes a swift recovery.
