The National Democratic Congress (NDC) member and former Ghanaian High Commissioner to India, Sam Pee Yalley, has passed away. The Korle Bu Teaching Hospital became his final resting place, where he passed away on Sunday after dedicating his service to both diplomatic work and political life.
In effect, political and diplomatic communities experienced shock following Yalley’s unexpected death while many paid sincere tribute to the deceased diplomat.
The death of Paul Yalley has triggered deep sorrow throughout Ghana’s political world, although medical authorities have yet to identify the specific cause of his passing.
The Speaker of Parliament, Alban Bagbin, expressed sympathy for Yalley by describing him as both “brother and friend.” Bagbin posted on social media to recognize Yalley’s substantial impact which he emphasized through his essential position within the NDC.
“Mr. Yalley received recognition as NDC Professionals Forum President for his commitment to political professionalism and his vital role in party growth.“
“The party’s development saw Ambassador Yalley emerge as a vital figure while he championed political professionalism,” Bagbin wrote through his tribute.

Throughout his professional career, Sam Pee Yalley worked in both legal practice and diplomatic representation. As a lawyer and officer in the National Pensions Regulatory Authority, he later became Ghana’s ambassador to India under President John Mahama’s administration. Yalley dedicated his time in India to building stronger diplomatic ties for Ghana while fighting for the rights of Ghanaian citizens abroad.
Moreover, Mr. Yalley devoted his efforts beyond diplomacy to champion social issues by actively supporting female leadership throughout Ghana.
Through his efforts to advance women’s political representation he gained bipartisan respect that recognized his beneficial impact on the national development of Ghana.

That is to say, Sam Pee Yalley dedicated his entire life to serving people through his dedication to both public service and political professionalism.
