Musician Shatta Wale continues to demonstrate his supremacy in worldwide music by securing major wins at the 42nd IRAWMA awards.
During the 42nd International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA) edition in Florida, USA, on Sunday, March 30th, 2025, the award-winning artist received three major awards.
His victory at the 42nd International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA) included Best African Dancehall Entertainer as well as Best Music Video for Killa Ji Mi and Best Crossover Song for Commando featuring Bounty Killer.
Shatta Wale strengthened his position as an award-winning legend when he won every nomination he entered at the International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA) in 2025.
Through his social media posts the “On God” artist communicated his appreciation of winning three awards to his millions of followers while calling his victory a magical “hat-trick.”
Moreover, Shatta Wale published a message that honoured the IRAWMA organizing group as well as his audience members before praising the plathonourshat honors his creative work.
“I feel deeply grateful to receive the Best African Dancehall Entertainer and Best Crossover Song and Best Video awards at the International Reggae and World Music Awards.“

The IRAWMA
The IRAWMA, founded by Ephraim Martin serves as an iconic musical award ceremony dedicated to world music artists worldwide yet highlights Jamaican cultural heritage above all else.
The Coral Springs Centre for the Arts hosted the ceremony which awarded Beenie Man, Jah Vinci, Diamond Platinumz and Burna Boy, in addition to other performers.
The event functions as an international stage which honours both the vintage heritage of reggae music together with its growing global reach worldwide.
Shatta Wale began his association with IRAWMA through winning his first award for Best New Entertainer during 2014. Since his first award in 2014, the artist has made the event his annual destination, winning awards each year.
The latest IRAWMA win has elevated Shatta Wale to nine trophies, making him Ghana’s most honoured artist through IRAWMA history while he becomes Africa’s top decorated dancehall performer at this prestigious ceremony.
Shatta Wale strengthened his status as an international music icon through his performance at the Freedom Street Concert in Jamaica with Vybz Kartel during January 2025.
