The University of Education Winneba (UEW) experienced a tragic incident after Level 100 student Khon Void died when he took his own l!fe. The young man took his life because he discovered his girlfriend having sexual relations with another male.
The tragic discovery took place on Wednesday, April 16, inside the highly populated GUSS Hall Two on the UEW campus. Typical reports indicate that Khon collapsed when he saw his girlfriend with another individual.
Later on, he was discovered hanging inside his GUSS Hall One dormitory during the evening, which ended his supposedly unendurable emotional struggle.
To that effect, the last note Khon supposedly wrote has circulated widely across social media platforms after his death. The note discovered on his dormitory bed reveals the overwhelming emotional distress affecting him before his fatal act.

The note revealed by Khon pointed out that Wendy, his girlfriend, was sending nude photos of herself to another man. According to Khon, he directly approached his girlfriend, but she chose to disregard his request to stop. Despite his love for his girlfriend, Khon did not send the compromising pictures to her father.
The situation became more dangerous when Khon claimed Wendy paid attackers to hurt him and make him remove all incriminating photographs from his phone.
Khon wrote his last statement while expressing his awareness that Wendy desired his de@th, which led him to end his life.
“Maybe then she’ll be okay,” he ended the sad note.
The university stands in sorrow while its students request better mental health support services at the campus. The tragic end of Khon demonstrates the mental health challenges that impact numerous teenagers while emphasising the necessity of mental health understanding.
