Timothy Binob Mussah appeared before Accra Circuit Court as an unemployed defendant who allegedly defr@uded three people out of GH¢82,000 through false visa and ticket promises to Mongolia.
The defendant, Timothy Binob Mussah, faces three charges of defrauding by false pretences after entering a plea of not guilty to the court.
The judicial authority presiding as Mr. Isaac Addo established bail conditions of GH¢100,000, requiring two sureties. Further court proceedings for this case will take place on May 7, 2025.
Chief Inspector Jonas Lawer represented the prosecution that Mussah started his fraudulent activities in November 2024 by meeting Godsway Asempa, who worked as an electrician in Taifa.
Mussah presented himself to Asempa as a Globon Link Consult agent who offered to secure a Mongolian visa. After agreeing to the proposal, Asempa gave Mussah GH¢35,000 along with his passport at Mussah’s Dzorwulu office.

Mussah met the second complainant, Jangboja Ibamondo, at the same time, who operated as a trader from Konkomba near Agbogbloshie. The travel agency representative, Mussah, obtained GH¢30,000 from Ibamondo together with his passport to handle the visa processing tasks.
Mussah confirmed that Mongolian visas were prepared for Asempa and Ibamondo yet insisted on receiving an extra payment of GH¢5,000 from each of them to finalize their travel arrangements.
Through the connection of Asempa Obed Boadi met Mussah and handed over GH¢7,000 to the travel agent for visa processing services. Mussah received an amount of GH¢7,000 from Boadi to process his visa.
Asempa and Ibamondo tried to depart on January 27, 2025, yet discovered their visas, together with their tickets, had not been issued. Mussah avoided delivering promised documents after the complainants contacted him by providing multiple excuses.
The police took action against Mussah after Asempa and Ibamondo filed their complaint regarding the missing visa documents. The complainants recovered their passports from Mussah as he refunded GH¢15,000, which he split between three victims during the investigation.
